Happy New Year!

Gosh, it has been a while!

So, some 'News' - since this is the News section...

A new noWax blogsite is born (quite a nice design, don't you think?!)

A failed noWax at Size? Carnaby Street, London (the soundsystem wacked out!)

We had a noWax/NOISE night at the ICA in collaboration with some young illustrators. A big thanks to Mr Lee Simpson for helping me out.

Charlie 'noWax' Gower has launched his very own blog. He's such a funny writer so keep an eye on that.

Charlie will be also be doing a monthly noWax 'Digital Music Guide' for the Metro newspaper - exciting times.

As for me, who knows? Perhaps a new blog... maybe a few mp3 mixes.

Big tings a gwaan! New *official* noWax sites are coming, as are new mixes and schemes for digitale domination. Hold tight, hang loose, get a grip!

The live Radio noWax podcasts are finished now. But I'll still be using the CE! feed for future iPod mixes. http://www.coolelectronique.com/rss.xml

Meantime, check out the london noWax gigs with special guest stars. Tonight it's those new dudes from Ninja Tunes.

Port Eliot was rained off in the end. Big respects to the posh girlies walking about in the mud in their pretty frocks and diamonte heels. Oh, how the other half laugh.

Recovered! The Submerge Afterparty was fun. A big
thanks to the crazy lady for keeping me on my toes all night. The playlist is up (sort of) and the mighty
BetaWax is available for you to download and tinker with. So then, Port Eliot... TBC.

Oh yeah... Did anyone else take any photos?

27/06/05

I'm off to Submerge tomorrow to prepare for the show. BetaWax is coming along nicely and the Southwest tour continues for a one-off noWax at the Port Eliot Lit Fest in late July. Posh!

Here's the noWax/BetaWax flyer. Hope to see you there.

16/05/05

noWax Plymouth has come to the end of its run but will
continue under new management in September 2005.

Adam CE! will be teaming up with noWax HQ and 'the VJs for a one-off special at Submerge, Bristol on July 1st 2005.

Thank you to the students on the MLA course, i-DAT
and Bac Bar staff for their support. Sniff-sniff!

About coolélectronique!

coolélectronique! is the audio/visual playground of
Adam CE (aka Mister CEE, Adam Electronique, A&E, etc)

coolélectronique! aims to create participatory club events using ubiquitous consumer electronic products.

The plymouth franchise of noWax MP3J parties
pioneered iPod DJ Mixes, VJing with iPod Photos, and was the first UK club to podcast MP3 recordings of its nights (probably).

BetaWax continues in the same tradition of bringing
democracy to the dancefloor by allowing the audience
to manipulate projected visuals using their own
bluetooth-enabled mobile phones.

C'est cool? C'est électronique!

Inspiration

Grand Wizard Theodore recalls the day, way back in 1975, when his grandmother told him to turn down the music he was making in front of his Bronx River Houses apartment. In order to hear her he put his hand on the turntable, holding the record in place. As he moved his hand, slightly, a new sound rose up. And so, he smiles, scratching was born.
